Hi Claire, I'm pleased that you have joined us here on the forum.
I totally understand what you mean about Shoes! I live in trainers nearly all the time!
(Which limits the clothes I can wear.)
I'm Fiona, 53, and I was a single parent for many years, but my children are now in their 30's.
I have one Grandaughter who is 9 years old.
I have had R.A for 15 years.
Before the R.A I loved to go on long walks and still do occasionally, but usually in Spain as I have
often found my symptoms better there.
I don't know whether it's because of the climate or just less stress when on holiday!
I shall look out for your posts.
Best wishes,
FionaSmile

Hi Everyone

Thank you so much for your welcome messages. I think this will help me, I have also joined my local group in Birmingham for support as well.
i have been given methrex/Hydroxy/folic acid they stopped the sulfasal. as it upset me too much. i think my body just does not like pill overdose!! i feel sick quite a lot and fatigue i think thats why im so down, i still work and by the time i get home i cant begin to make the Tea my poor son is having to do a lot at the moment its my 40th this year so we are taking off to the sun somewhere hopefull total relax will do me good, it takes a long time to come to terms with this, considering no one in my family have any illnesses at all!! yeap i copped the lot i couldnt even have a baby without a dramatic c-section 14 years ago!! so when everyone is racing ahead im 10 feet behind. so maybe life will begin at forty with a lot of help and support.

Dear Claire,

Welcome!

I have had JRA since I was 8 and a half years old although it was very erratic up to my teens.

At the moment I take NO meds at all as we are expecting baby no6 ........................can't wait!

Before that i was on mtx, hydro and slz and hated them all! (I am not a good example of an obedient pill taker)...

Love,

Amanda
